Danube Valley Tour inclusive Melk Abbey

back to overview

Join us on our full day tour to one of the most beautiful parts of the Danube Valley - the Wachau. The old castles tell us about the former importance of this trade and traffic route - one of those castles is Castle Dürnstein, where King Richard the Lionheart was imprisoned and was rescued by his faithful Minstrel Blondel.

The highlight of this excursion is the visit of the Benedictine Abbey Melk with its famous library. At the abbey you will have the possibility to go for lunch.
During summer season (April 12th and October 26th) a boat cruise on the Danube will be included in the tour - in case the cruise will not take place we will invite you for lunch.
