Austria's culture can also be found in the big Viennese museums. Discover the architectural gems in the inner city, saunter through the Art History and the Natural History Museums or let yourself be enthralled by the thousands of artworks in Vienna's Albertina. Also in Vienna, in the Belvedere Palace, is the largest Klimt collection with pictures like "The Kiss" and "Judith".

Vienna also offers a wide choice of Modern Art - from the Leopold Museum, various exhibitions in the Museumsquartier (MQ, museum district) to the Hundertwasser house, all tastes are catered for.

Another world-wide culture with its origins in Austria is the Viennese Kaffeehauskultur (coffeehouse) - copied by many cities, but the true experience can only be lived in Vienna. Far away from the touristy cafes you can live the typical Viennese coffeehouse with unique flair - here you can spend a whole day drinking coffee, reading papers and watching the people - and for sure you will meet a waiter with the famous Viennese Schmäh (sense of humour).

But Vienna has not been formed only by the Kaffeehauskultur, but also by its wine culture that has been thriving here for centuries. No less than 612 Hektar (1500 acres) of vineyards are cultivated around the city. The most important are Kahlenberg and Nussberg with the famous wine producing places Grinzing, Nussdorf, Sievering and more. Not only Austrian red and white grape varieties are grown and harvested here but also a traditional speciality the "Gemischter Satz" (mixed batch) has experienced a come back in the last years. This is not a Cuvee of different varieties but made from choice of white grapes that have been grown, harvested and blended together.

Let youself be captivated by the Viennese culture - discover the musical delights, special works of art in the Wiener Secession, enjoy a glass of "Gemischter Satz" and watch the sunset over Vienna.
