City tour with M32

The M32 restaurant and the Museum of Modern Art offer probably the best view over the Mozart city. You start with a 1 hour tour through the new and the old city before taking a modern elevator up the Mönchsberg, one of Salzburg's city hills. Relax with a coffee and cake whilst enjoying the view over the roofs of the city. After this we recommend a visit to the Museum of Modern Art.

City Tour and boat ride on the Salzach river

A perfect combination between the traditional old city and the modern river boat. First discover the beautiful and captivating sites of the city and then relax on the "Amadeus" which will twirl over the water to the strains of famous waltzes. You sail upriver to the vicinity of Hellbrunn and then back to the landing stage in the old town. Please note that this tour is not available during extreme low or high water.

Classic Salzburg - the well established way to get to know the town

In combination with the city tour you will receive a Salzburg Card, enabling you to visit all the city's sites free of charge. All Museums al well as public transport are included. Discover the treasures and sites of Salzburg during the overview tour in the mini bus. One suggestion is to leave the minibus at the last stop in Hellbrunn and visit one of the most famous sights, the Hellbrunn Trick Fountains. From there you can ride back to town on the public bus no 25, which stops at various points in the city.

Use this card to visit the symbol of the city, the Fortress Hohensalzburg. Enjoy a fantastic view over the roofs of the city and the nearby alps. While you are there, those interested an visit the state rooms and various museums with displays from war history to puppets from the Marionette Theatre.

Another highlight, ad this one brand new, is the DomQuartier - cathedral quarter. Linking the Residence with the cathedral, St. Peter's monastery and the Franciscan church, the private rooms and walkways of our archbishops have been opened to the public. A real pleasure for all lovers of art showing over 2000 exhibits.

The best way to get to know the "must see" sites of the old town of Salzburg is surely on foot, as most of the sites and Museums are to be found inside the capacious pedestrian area. This tour is available daily from 11.30 am from May to October.
