Works by Rubens, Rembrandt and many more

Liechtenstein Museum

Liechtenstein Museum

One of the most extensive collections of Rubens, prominent works by von Dyck, Lucas Cranach and Raffael, and compositions by Rembrandt, von Ruysdael and Hamilton can all be admired.

They are complemented by weaponry, porcelain, a large collection of bronzes and one of the most beautiful remaining French state coaches. In the final days of the Second World War collections had been taken to safety in Vaduz, the capital of the principality of Liechtenstein. Now that the museum is being "reopened", premises of Palais Liechtenstein previously closed to the public, for instance the magnificent library, will also be on view.

Tipp: Every Sunday from 2 to 3 pm in the Hercules Hall visitors to the museum have the opportunity of enjoying an enchanting Sunday Afternoon Concert.
